Due to local regulatory requirements, if your registered address is in Singapore, there are limits on how you can use the funds in your dtcpay account. dtcpay is a Major Payment Institution (MPI) regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). The two limits below — set by MAS for personal payment accounts containing e-money — apply to your account.
dtcpay is a Major Payment Institution (MPI) regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). Under MAS regulations, the annual flow cap for personal payment accounts containing e-money is set at SGD 100,000.
To ensure strict compliance, dtcpay limits Singapore residents to an annual flow cap of SGD 99,000 — the annual fiat spending limit — per rolling 365-day period. The limit applies to outgoing fiat transactions such as card payments and outward transfers.
Withdrawals or transfers made directly from your fiat wallet to a personal bank account in your own name do not count toward this annual spending limit.
Your fiat balance and your annual fiat spending limit are tracked differently. Your balance is simply the current amount of fiat currency you hold in your wallets and cards.
Your annual fiat spending limit governs how much you can spend or transfer out over a rolling 365-day period — so it is possible to hold more than you are currently allowed to send out.
The annual fiat spending limit is calculated based on all outward fiat transactions from your wallets and cards. This includes card payments and fiat transfers to third-party accounts or recipients.
The annual fiat spending limit is calculated using a continuous, rolling 365-day window — not a calendar year.
Your available capacity is gradually restored day by day as historical transactions age past the 365-day threshold and are excluded from the calculation.
No. You can continue to deposit fiat currency even if your fiat balance exceeds your remaining annual fiat spending capacity. Your funds remain safely held in your personal payment account; however, you will be restricted from spending or transferring out the excess amount.
The only exception is withdrawing funds directly from your dtcpay wallet to a personal bank account in your own name.
The SGD 99,000 annual fiat spending limit applies strictly to users registered as residents of Singapore. Accounts registered to non-residents are not subject to this limit.
