We are seeking a Senior KYC Specialist to join our Compliance team, focusing on corporate client onboarding and due diligence. In this role, you will manage end-to-end KYC reviews, including complex ownership structures, and ensure all onboarding activities meet regulatory and internal compliance standards. You will play a key role in strengthening our client risk assessment framework and maintaining the integrity of our onboarding processes.
What You Will Do:
- Perform end-to-end KYC reviews and onboarding for corporate clients, including complex ownership structures.
- Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) in accordance with regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
- Analyze corporate documentation including Certificates of Incorporation, shareholder registers, board resolutions, and ownership charts.
- Perform sanctions screening, PEP checks, and adverse media reviews.
- Assess client risk profiles and escalate high-risk or complex cases to Compliance where required.
- Review and validate KYC files and provide guidance and mentorship.
- Ensure KYC records are maintained accurately within internal systems and meet audit and regulatory standards.
- Participate in periodic KYC reviews and remediation projects when required.
- Contribute to improving onboarding processes, controls, and documentation standards.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in KYC/AML, with strong focus on corporate onboarding.
- Experience working in banks, fintechs, asset managers, or financial institutions.
- Strong knowledge of AML/KYC regulations and regulatory expectations.
- Proven experience reviewing complex corporate structures and UBO identification.
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills and excellent attention to detail and documentation standards.
- Must be able to communicate and read in Chinese (Mandarin) in order to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients and review relevant materials.
- The role is based fully onsite, requiring your presence in the office.
