What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with Product, Data, and Engineering to develop, maintain and enhance in-house KYT tools as required
  • Assess false positives, adjust thresholds, and optimise & refine rule logic to improve detection accuracy
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new KYT system features and enhancements
  • Identify gaps in KYT monitoring coverage and propose/recommend improvements
  • Assess patterns and trends in transaction activity to identify emerging risks and recommend appropriate mitigating controls
  • Ensure all monitoring and reporting activities are conducted in line with MAS AML/CFT Guidelines, and/or any other relevant laws and guidelines for the Group
  • Preparing Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) for submission to the MLRO for filing with the relevant authorities in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, supervise and structure the daily operations of Group KYT/Transaction Monitoring (TM) function
  • Assign, review, and quality-check KYT cases to ensure accuracy, thoroughness, and timely completion
  • Act as L2 for KYT reviews & conduct in-depth investigations of flagged alerts generated by the KYT system arising from crypto (on-chain) deposits and withdrawals to mitigate risk exposure
  • Develop and update SOPs, workflows, and internal guidelines for KYT transaction monitoring and investigations
  • Conduct training sessions for new hires and ongoing refreshers for KYT and frontline teams
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and upskilling to KYT analysts on AML/CFT red flags, typologies, and investigative techniques
  • Ensure the team remains updated on evolving AML/CFT risks, typologies, and relevant regulatory expectations
  • Maintain staffing plans, shift coverage, productivity tracking, and performance metrics
  • Assisting in ad-hoc projects and tasks

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Business, Law, Accounting & Finance, Economics or related fields
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in compliance related roles in the Financial Institutions and/or Fintech/Payments Industry
  • Knowledge in MAS AML/CFT Guidelines and any other equivalent laws and guidelines. Good understanding of Payment Service Act (PSA) and any applicable regulations in Singapore affecting the payment, fintech, and Digital Payment Token (DPT)/Digital Asset industry
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills and can collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin are preferred for stakeholder communication
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • High ethical and integrity standards, self-driven, fast learning and independence are required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Bilingual - Mandarin and English preferred).
  • The role is based fully onsite, requiring your presence in the office.

Nice to Have:

  • Professional certifications in AML/CTF (e.g., CAMS, ACAMS) are highly desirable
  • Experience with Elliptic and Chainalysis
  • Experience in the Crypto/Blockchain industry would be beneficial
  • Proficiency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) would be beneficial
